Awesome drives
Reviewed by Stephen. Review Posted 10/06/2007

These are great. I have had 5 in a Raid 3 array and absolutely no problems. For those that are having problems, (esp the guy who had just clicking and bad sectors) I would suggest checking your power supply.

Quick and Quiet
Reviewed by Paul. Review Posted 24/05/2007

For 100 quid this is a bargain. Yes you can get 500G cheaper, but not with a 5 year warranty. This is a noticeably fast drive (even if you only have it connected to a SATA I controller) and so quiet you can barely hear it. Also runs relatively cool at around 40C without cooling. Not sure what the previous guy was expecting, as all drives come without cables or screws etc. If you want all that pay over the odds and get a retail boxed drive from PC World.

some good some bad
Reviewed by Anonymous. Review Posted 21/11/2006

I ordered two of these drives, one was doa, it simply clicked. I returned it and got a replacement.

Then, within a week or so, one of then started generating lots of errors - bad sectors, it has now also been returned and I'm ordering the 4th one...

Great Fast Drive
Reviewed by Anonymous. Review Posted 14/11/2006

Great delivery, quick drive, replaced a WD 8mb 250gb SATA 1 drive with this, I can see the improvement with 16mb cache and also 5yr warrenty and for just under £150 including postage it's great. Still the 250gb drives are worth looking at if you have the space in your machine as it is cheaper to buy 2x 250gb than 1x 500gb. Thanks Dabs

Good Stuff
Reviewed by Richard. Review Posted 31/08/2006

It's easy to setup, fast and competible. Although my motherboard only supports SATA 150, I don't need to adjust anything to connect it. It automatically adjusts itself and works smoothly. It's quite, too. Good value for money and according to my experiences in using WD's harddisks, I believe this one will run as reliable as the manufactory describes.

Great, Didn't Come with a SATA HDD Cable!!!
Reviewed by Anonymous. Review Posted 14/05/2007

The product works great however the one I recieved from dabs came in a plain box with no manual or cables (it was NOT a used product purchase). So just beware of the lack of instructions or cables when you buy this product. Apart from that that its a fantastic bit of kit for only £70!!! Which is why I gave it 5 in ease of use and value for money. Just don't forget to order a SATA 2 HDD cable with it!
