I was after a replacement for my 6 year old desktop dinosaur. As I mainly browse the web, send & receive emails, send the occasional letter, listen to my music collection I decided that this tiny desktop ticked all the boxes and although I've only had it a few days I have to say I believe I've made a wise purchase. The unit itself is very small and very easy to set up. A fair bit of time was spent in updating XP then downloading some free Anti Virus and Anti Spyware software. Once that had been completed I was up and I can't fault it. I am especially pleased with just how quiet it is, it also runs very cool. I would point out though that it doesn't come with any CD/DVD drive so you'll have to use an external drive. So I'll give this little beaut 10/10
We already had a 22" monitor, USB hard disk and DVD writer, so when our PC died this was the ideal replacement. It's used for the usual tasks plus some lightweight gaming, and as our home wireless network's file/print server. It's almost silent and it draws a fraction of the power of our old PC. The supplied bracket allows mounting it on the back of a VESA ready TV/Monitor. It even comes with S/PDIF out and a DVI to VGA adapter. I might put another behind our TV to use for BBC iPlayer. One minor irritation was it came with the drive set as 40+100+recovery partitions. I was pleased to see it came with a set of recovery CDs so I used them to reformat the drive as one big partition. Make sure you have an external optical drive before you try this!
