View Full Version : Is there an easy way to stop receiving email from Dabs?
If there is, I haven't found it yet..... Part of the problem is that I seem to be registered through both my email addresses. I have clicked the 'unsubscribe' link many, many times, sent off politely worded emails to every permutation of @dabs.com on at least five occasions, I've waited 15 minutes on the phone several times (no-one ever answers) and as a last resort, have started collecting the two to three daily emails from Dabs.
I did eventually receive an email telling me I was 'now unsubscribed' from both addresses (after I mentioned the ICO) but the spam started again the very next day :-(
If an admin could get in touch, I'd be very grateful - any other helpful advice gratefully received too.
Well if you received an e-mail the next day it is possible you were in their current e-mail queue, have you received any since. As for unsubscribing it is possibly the worst link in an e-mail you can press, not necessarily dabs or any other reputable firm but don't get used to that button as a lot of spam mail's unsubscribe is there to confirm your e-mail address and if you click it the address is sold onto mass spam lists (information rather than something to do with your problem :p). Your other options are to if using hotmail add it to your spam list and it will be auto deleted, if using pretty much any mail software create a message rule that auto deletes e-mails from dabs address(this is same on mobile devices only apple left out this extremely useful feature)
Thanks 2o2o - yes, I've been bombarded constantly for the last two weeks (following the email claiming I'd been unsubscribed). I'm sure there is a way to auto-delete using Outlook - I'll go Google for an answer.
I just started using an HTC Desire, and I'm sure there's a way of creating a similar rule for it, but again, it'll take some Googling.....
Honestly though, why would anyone buy stuff from a company who never ever answer their phones / emails? Fortunately, when I've bought the odd item from Dabs, it's arrived on time and worked properly. God help those who have a problem (as is evidenced in this forum...).
Hi Jim, It shouldn't be that hard to unsubscribe, but if you PM me your email addresses that you have used to subscribe with, I will sort it out at this end.
Thanks Phil - will do!
Hi - emails still coming through. There do seem to be less of them, but tbh they're still unwelcome. *is disappointed* and although I really can't be bothered, I will be sending them all to the ICO - I honestly feel it's the only option left to me.
Thanks for trying though Phil - it is appreciated.
