View Full Version : Hi there curious about the used stock purchase - SO02347759
Hi, does anyone know what "warranty repaired" means? I purchased an ASUS AMD ULTIMATE BUNDLE as used stock, but it said "warranty repaired" - I bought this last night but now I'm wondering if I was right in thinking it was probably just updated warranty, or whether it was repaired and that has voided it's warranty? It said there was no software or documentation with it. (Which is fine as isn't totally necessary) It also said no accessories were included - this was the bit I never noticed when I purchased, what does that bit mean? What accessories is this talking about? I'm guessing this means no sata cable or something? I still get the entire bundle? mb/processor/ram don't I?
Anyway many thanks for reading. Truelly excited about my computer build!
"Warranty repaired" usually means supplied as new but having previously failed and refurbished.
Many manufacturers farm out warranty repairs and it depends on the manufacturer or third party refurbisher as to what their quality standards are, however the item should be supplied with all the components you need and in full working order, although non essential items like some cables or other accessories may be excluded, you will still get the motherboard, processor, and RAM.
Thanks for the reply, very informative.
Altair is absolutely correct. This one was returned to us and has been repaired within the warranty period. The b-grade spec will state if anything is mssing eg when we sell a laptop without a OS etc...
Hi Sharon, although you were pretty late in getting back to me,thanks - however, I'd like to inform you that you have indeed sent me the wrong motherboard. In fact, I've written a more detailed analyis of all of this on a seperate thread. Disappointed in dabs, Sharon. Disappointed and feeling exploited.
Don't feel exploited. That's not what we're trying to do :( You've not really elaborated on the problem with the motherboard on the other thread - just had a go at CS.
We are very busy at the moment. There are a lot of emails in the queue, and the CS team are trying hard to plough through them as well as answering the phone to people who are at times are as irate as you. It takes a little longer to deal with phone customers becasue they are relieved to have someone to talk to and completely vent, as I'm sure you understand :)
Why is the motherboard wrong? Is it completely the wrong model?
