Quick question regarding my graphics card order (2 x Sapphire 6950 Toxic).
I know I might be jumping the gun a little in asking questions on my order as I only made it a couple of days ago, but I'm very excited building the cards into my system. I know having looked at a lot of other sites that these cards are notoriously hard to come by at the moment, even Sapphire themselves have taken the card off their list (well I couldnt find it), and that's got me worried.
When I ordered from Dabs it said 16 due in 5-7 days. Then it said 14 in 1-3 days. Now it says 11 in 3-4 days.
1) Is it possible for you to check that the cards are definitely expected to be coming into Dabs stock before the end of the week ?
2) More importantly can you confirm that my order will be allocated/satisfied from the stock that comes in that delivery ?
I'd hate to wait until you get them only to find that I am at the back of a very long queue, that enough aren't delivered and have to wait another 2-4 weeks (or longer).
Any additional information you can offer would be great... thanks.
We've got an order of 23 with an eta of 27/10. This is however an ETA so I can't make any promises I'm afraid :(
If these 23 do come in, you'll be in that batch.
ETA of 27/10 sounds good to me. It's not that I didnt trust the info on your website, it's just good to get a more direct approximation. :)
Great news that my order will be part of that batch. I look forward to receiving the cards soon(ish).
Hi sharon (or whichever of the team pick up this message).
Could you give me an update on my order please, and whether the Sapphire 6950 Toxic's came in ? I noticed yesterday that they went to '4 in stock' briefly, before going back to '4 in 1-2 days'
The reason I ask is that my order is still 'processing' but the item stock levels have now changed to 'Ordered upon request'.
If the stock didnt arrive and you are now putting requests in to your supplier for this item, then any idea how long the wait is likely to be ?
My apologies if I have jumped the gun, and my order is in the process of being packed and payment being taken. :o
And now the item says '1 due in 1-2 days'.
Dabs stock system appears to be based on a random number generator. :)
Only joking I'm sure its very advanced, although wouldnt it be easier to just say 'In Stock' or 'Out of Stock'. Would make things a lot clearer.
Alas it doesn't look like anyone is looking at the forum today, as I dont think there has been a single response to any query from a Dabs moderator. Shame as Sharon was doing a sterling job yesterday too.
Ah well, guess I'll wait another day (just hope the cards make it to my door before Battlefield 3).
As far as I am aware the Sapphire 6950 is still due in tomorrow. I'll check for you tomorrow or friday (depending on when the stock is booked into our warehouse) and update you.
Please ignore the changing status, this only applies to new customers that have not placed an order
Appreciate the update, and look forward to hearding from you in the next couple of days.
I'll watch this thread intently
Apologies if the tone of email comes across as a touch angry, but in truth I AM !!
Just received an email telling me that the Sapphire 6950 Toxic is end of line, and therefore is no longer available.
Thanks for stringing me along all week, surely a simple call to your supplier would have told you this. I thought your stock levels were bizarre, in fact, I'd go as far as to say the stock levels on your site are completely pointless. Get rid of the x due in x days, and just change to In Stock if you have them and don't list them or say Out of Stock for everything else.
A few points to note though.
i) my order still says 'processing' and even changed to say 'expected delivery of wed 2nd' earlier today - thanks for getting my hopes up, when is that going to get updated ?
ii) the email said if I don't reply by 20th oct my order will be cancelled - well it's 27th oct already , and you can't satisfy the order so what does it matter anyway.
iii) the email offered me the normal 800Mhz sapphire 6950 at a reduced price of £209.99 as a replacement - gee thanks, a reduce price that is 1p more than you actually list it on your website.
iv) the replacement you offered is currently '29 due in 1-2 days' - errrr no thanks, I've just played that game with you, once bitten twice shy and all that.
All in all thanks but no thanks, you've almost certainly lost another customer, and to think if you'd offered me a proper reduced price on a viable replacement then you may have kept me.
Adios Dabs
Hi Sharon.... I've calmed down a bit now :)
Thanks for responding to my 'rant' email that I sent back last night (again apologies, i was just gutted about missing out on that card, how sad am I ? :o )
I appreciate that the issues with my order are not 'your' fault, and that things happen, especially when Dabs deals with such a huge range of equipment.
With regard to the offer contained in your email today, I am tempted and will attempt to get back to you as soon as possible.
Just when you thought you'd lost me... you drags me back in :D
Last post here Sharon :)
I've emailed you back with details. Congratulations, you convinced me to stay with Dabs.
Although I notice the card that I wanted, and was discontinued, has now turned up as 1 In Stock on the site. Still 1 wouldnt have been enough, so it's not a problem.
(Update : 14:54 - It's gone again now :D )
Thanks for your help. Just hope you can get the order in in time for delivery tomorrow.
Mail me back or post here if any problems. Thanks
Hiya - sorry didn't respond sooner on here - it's taken me ages to find the post! Glad you finally managed to get cards that will do the job! Just sorry for the hassle it took to get them :)
