I decided to buy OSX Lion for my PC, and honestly I can't see why so many Mac users got so excited over an operating system that is little more than a tweak to it's predecessor Snow Leopard, which was little more than a tweak to Leopard and so on back through the various "tweaks" of OSX.
I've been playing about with it since yesterday trying to get a good feel for it. It's definitely better than Snow Leopard in looks and feel. It's still ugly as f***, but just not quite as fugly. Was it worth the £21, sort of. Would it be worth paying the money for a Mac to get it...... not on your effing nellie, not even a Mac Mini.
The Mac app store is filled with oooohhhs & aaaahhhs and best ever comments. If I could be bothered leaving one it would be... "is this it". In my opinion these are not "new versions", they are service packs... a £21 service pack. So when I say it was sort of worth the £21 it was not that the OS itself was worth the £21 but that it was certainly worth NOT having to buy a Mac to use it.
