@ DMS I was hoping the price might go down and last month most etailers had them at around £150 (the 1100T) but now virtually all seem to either not stock it or have it closer to £200. I'm currently on a 4 core (955 @ 4.1) but was going to give it to my dad when the hex went EOL, didn't expect it this early after BD though.

I think everyone was a little caught out by the speed of demise of Phenom. Personally, I am not entirely convinced of the benefit of going from X4 to X6 unless you absolutely need the two extra cores. And if six cores are important (and I can risk saying this as Altair is not around), the 1090T is a better option - it is the same chip clocked 100MHz slower, which would disappear if you overclocked, and is still available for around £150 if you look carefully enough. In fact, I would be tempted to go for a sub-£100 X4 960T many of which unlock to X6 with the right motherboard.

Sys 1
Intel i7 930 @ 2.2ghz (thats right underclocked) / 6GB RAM / GTX 460 1gb / Silverstone FT-02
Sys 2
Intel E6600 @ 4.12ghz / 8gb RAM / GTX 460 1gb / Coolermaster HAF X (First Version) / Raid 0 Vertex 2 SSD

You wouldnt believe how much it caught everyone out...they literally just pulled production on it once APU and FX went liveSad times to see Athlon and Phenom die out when they were great parts!

I think it's possible they realised they were unlikely to sell FX unless they stopped producing Phenom? I'm sorry for AMD as I have never had an intel processor before, but I am at the point I need this upgrade I have bought and can't wait till Xmas to put together my new system, albeit an Intel one
As much as I would like Batman AA I think it's only fair I sit out the next competition
Dunc, prize arrived today, very fast delivery indeed. Thank you so much again!

Media Server
Gigabyte GA-890GPA-UD3H, AMD ATHLON II X2 240E, 8GB Kingston Hyper-X 1600Mhz RAM,
XFX Core Edition PRO650W, 8TB Storage.
Thanks again Dunc. Parcel arrived within 24 hours so do you run on an SSD? Took me all my time to backup and move all my data off my system drive so I could clone it. Then had to use my other SATA controller to update the firmware but now it's up to date and flying. System loads in half the time, programs load extremely fast. It was well worth the wait.
I've usually had AMD systems as price has been a large factor and the last upgrade I can do on my board is an X6 so I've managed to find one. Plus the X4 goes to a good home (Dad goes from a dual core on a 939 board to AM3+).
