    Windows Home Server 2011

Anyone ever tried using Windows Home Server 2011 and if so, would you recommend it.

I'm currently using Windows Vista on my home server as it really only started as an experiment to use a spare machine. I had originally planned on getting a NAS and thought why spend £100 to £150 on one when I have a spare very quiet PC sitting doing nothing.

To be honest as it sits everything works fine, and I had thought of using OpenNAS on it, but I really can't be doing with a linux based system. So it's either leave it the way it is and carry on connecting to it with teamviewer, or Splash Desktop from the tablet or put on WHS 2011.

The system contains a Core 2 Duo E4500 CPU, 3GB, 1TB HDD (for the moment). Other than the power cable it has nothing plugged into it because it's only ever connected to remotely, so i believe it should be capable enough.

What are your recommendations, if any.

Get it - its worth it for the bare metal restorable automated backup of the clients alone - then when you add the mymovies add-in, it becomes awesome.
