    Idiot proof digital camera?

    Hi,

Need an idiot proof, in-expensive digital camera for my mum for christmas, she's a complete technophobe so it needs to be really easy to use

    Thanks

    Try a Kodak

Kodak are usually pretty simple to use as they have their easy share technology plus oldies like the fact that they are Kodak as they remember them from back in the day We bought my mother-in-law one for xmas last year and she can use it no problem.

the sony T series (T500, 700) are smart looking little cameras, may be a little pricey although the older models are just as good looking/compact. I used to take my T500 out on nights out all the time, until I got my iphone

Louise81 - Canon and HP are pretty good at the "point and shoot" range, i bought one of the HP's a while back for my mum and its a case of slightly the cover to one side, press the button and its done! (my parents barely know how to turn a PC on so i know how important it is for a piece of kit like this!)

I give fuji cameras out to users. They are cheap, Ok images, fool proof use, and most importantly they don't need any software on the pc so the user can just plug it in and use it like they would a USB key for dragging and dropping images.

I'd give Kodak the vote, they're fairly cheap and simple easy to use.

Id second Sony's compact series, my girlfriend has one and she doesn't do anything but point and shoot and it consistently provides excellent photographs.

Samsung do some great point and shoot cameras. Not only are they easy to use but the picture quality is excellent
