That Origin system is dodgy as hell I haven't looked at it but a few of my friends who I play multi player Need for Speed with said that ever since they installed it the continuously get ad popup's about the new NFS game and any other EA game that an newer version will soon be available. It is basically another way for them to gain information about you that they have no legal right too yet make you unable to install a game without accepting the terms.

Well I've never had any popups or any other ill effects from using it or EADM before it. While I'm all for privacy, I think sometimes people read a little too much into things. I still remember the whole furore of BF2142 where EA sent targeted advertising to things like billboards blended into the scenery, etc, yet we see it everyday on practically every website we visit. At the end of the day, I am in control of my wallet and advertising is unlikely to relieve it of any of it's weight. I know their are other issues with it about ****ning your HDD etc, personally I'm not overly concerned about the whole thing.

I have avoided Arkham City just because I don't tend to like games derived from comics, but I am subscribed to the Yogscast on youtube and they started a playthrough I am really tempted now, but at the same time can't afford it with Skyrim just 4 days away (can't really afford that as my PC really needs an upgrade first ). I am stuck between a rock, hard place and my bank balance

I've always had a similar problem, especially when they're based on movies based on comics. Luckily in AC (ahhhhh yeaaaaah acronym) they're allowed to take the characters and create a complete stand-alone individual story-line, which is kinda where games like Spiderman fell down (**SPOILERS LOL** CHASE DOWN THAT RAPSCALLION WHO MURDERED YOUR UNCLE FOR LITERALLY NO REASON *END SPOILERS LOL**), so I'd say give it a chance if you ever gets the moneys!

Ha infinite quests, they say that with Warcraft but it does't take long to realise you are doing the same thing just for a different npc

That's fine, i don't mind doing similar quests as long as a few variables are changed. It was annoying running out of quests and having to replay Oblivion but do exactly the same quests again. Why was it when i became the listener for the Dark brotherhood, i couldn't assassinate more people, you can in Skyrim.
