Having gotten it on Friday and played for much of the weekend, Batman: Arkham City could be up there... Still waiting on Skyrim though

And btw, I am a Mac User and therefore rarely use anything other than a console, unless it's for the Humble Bundle (how SICKKKKK is VVVVVV? -- Slowpoke I know) or the occasional Steam purchase.

Best game for me so far is DCS A-10C, love that shizz.

If Killing Floor had been released this year and not a few years back, then that would have gotten my vote, most fun online game ever tbh.

Still not played it really. My brother loves it so when I was last down I played the first mission or so, seemed alright. Heard it gets a whole lot better though

I reckon skyrim will be game of the year, I much prefer battlefield as it is more life like and the graphics seem way better than COD. I think there was and still is to much hype of any of the COD games, just a load of fanboi's in my opinion. Until they have a new engine (and hopefully not like duke nukem) that game for me is a few years out of date. Best game I have played so far this year has definitely portal 2. I would give my opinion on batman but i am waiting for dabs to awesomely give me a free copy

Batman is pretty boss, it has to be said. Although a week on and I still haven't completed... (lack of time management skills). Having a meh/hate relationship with COD, is Battlefield worth a cheeky wage stump up?

Let me say the Battlefield series is my game, I love it but I feel slightly scr*wed over by EA on this one. Sorry let me rephrase that. I feel REALLY scr*wed over by EA on this one. The game itself is beautiful, but there are problems and as I said before EA would release a beta on us and that is exactly what they have done.

Gone is the ingame server browser, instead you have to use a web browser to access what they call Battlelog so now if you want to change servers you need to quit the game, browse for a server and click join which relaunches the game into the new server. Gone is the commander. The game needs to be installed via Origin (in itself what is effectively spyware). Bugs that should have been squashed (like the key binding bug) because they were caught in the Beta version (nay... alpha version) graphics glitches galore and as standard with anything from EA random CTD's with no clue as to what happened.

All in all for a "beta version" of the game it would be fine, however it's not, it's retail and it was rushed to release, and it shows (probably to prevent it's thunder being stolen by MW3). As time moves on it will get better and stabilise as they iron out the bugs that should have been fixed already. The first big patch will probably solve a lot of them.

So is it worth it....... If you are a diehard BF fan like me, then sadly I'd have to say yes mainly because I'm in it for the long haul and have time to wait for the dust to settle and things to get fixed. If however you are a play and dash kind of person who will play it for a few weeks until the next big game comes along and it's forgotten about, then I'd have to say no.
