Finally pre-ordered mine last night, couldn't decide on which excludive offer was best (Steelbook, Dog Tags, Avatar item or Specact kit).

Anyone's thoughts? I ended up going with the cheapest I could find for each format I want, but would like a couple of those.

None, the Physical Warfare Pack is probably the most useful to be honest, but then they are all just pretty pointless tempters designed to add "perceived value", so just go for the cheapest one.

Ahh, but everyone that pre-orders gets the Physical Warpack, the offers I mentioned are in addition. Specact kit does look quite good on the Russian Engineer and there is the slight thought that your kit will look different, so there may be a slight hesitation in recognising that you're an enemy soldier.

It's still smoke and mirrors and I really don't spend a lot of time checking out peoples uniforms. If they have a red thing over their head, shoot them!!!

Problem with all games is that the content is reduced heavily in order to sell DLC's. Original Half Life(I know I refer to it a lot but there has been no better game series) was 15-16 hours play time if played right (when I say right I mean on hard so you cant just go crowbar everything)

Agreed, can't tell you how annoyed I get when people are all over forums asking when DLC will be released, over a month before the game's even released. Great way to encourage companies to do just that.

In BF3 defence, they're releasing the 'first DLC' with all pre-orders, so at least you're getting it almost as part of the game, and the multiplayer's going to take ages to unlock everything, bar boosting. And to anyone that wants to complain that the map's the same as previous versions of the game, they are, but remodeled for the new engine, so you'll be able to replay them differently now, with destruction for example.

So the Septics go to war today, 3 days earlier than everyone else. It seems a little ironic considering they always used to turn up to wars late

It's cause they need the practise ready for when the rest of the world join and they get ravaged
