GoFlex Home NAS 2TB, Won't connect to router or my Mac.
Hi Can anyone help with the GoFlex Home NAS 2TB?
I am tearing my hair our with this product just getting it to work with my Mac.
I am running a Macbook, MacOS 10.6.4, The GoFlex Home NAS 2TB is connected to my Buffalo router.
I am trying to use the product as advertised with Time Machine. I have managed to get it to the stage where it recognises the drive in Time Machine but due to permission issues will not allow Time machine to backup. That is one of the issues.
Now even though the drive has solid green and blue light on the drive it will not connect to my router using any of the 4 ports on the router.
I have spent 20 hours trying to make this hard drive work and I am extremely disappointed that it is advertised compatible with a Mac. This product should not need this level of problem solving to work. Many people having this issue and I feel it should be a full product recall for Mac users.
Even though I am annoyed that this product won't work with the router. I'd put up with connecting it directly to my mac and formatting it in Mac OS Extended (Journaled) using time machine with USB. The drive is not even recognised in this fashion.
Can someone please make this work for me I really wish I had just paid £400 for the Apple product.
Thanks
Johnny
