    New Upgrade

Going to be getting one of these...

Actually, it will be more of a full replacement rather than an upgrade - we lost our previous Springer about 6 weeks ago. He was only 7 but developed soft tissue osteosarcomas, eventually becoming completely riddled. These should be ready just after Christmas so we at least have a fair amount of time to try and agree on a name. Probably not enough, though! We think we will probably get a second one sometime next year - SWMBO wants to eventually have 5.

A most entertaining upgrade, my old boy is a 14 yr old Mastiff/Dane cross and while we took him in when he was 9 we did know him as a puppy and he was wild

What...5 ... is she off her tree. Daughter had a springer for a while, I seem to recall it's tail used to shake it's body. Like my male cat I fear it probably suffered from ADHD. My mutt is actually pretty calm and cool (see profile picture). We would have named her Fonzie, but she's a female and that would have been a stupid name to call her (like the idiots who call their brown and white male collies Lassie).

I love pups when they are that age. No mess, no fuss.

ahh man, I'm trying to talk the Mrs into getting an Alaskan Malamute or a Huskie but I doubt I could keep to the walking regime that they need.

Managed to get her to agree to a cat for now, one step at a time.

Our last one was the same. If they don't have their tails docked (which I refuse to do, more for aesthetic than moral reasons), when it wags, everything from halfway down the back wags with it. The current plan is for a second springer middle of next year and then, a year after that, I get to have one of these.

I think the Alaskan Malamute is an absolutely stunning animal, although as a pet they are a lot of work in the grooming and exercise area especially when it's time to get rid of their winter coat. I've been a dog person all my life. These are the first two cats I've had and they are so much easier to look after than dogs.

And here he is. Apologies for the poor quality image. We saw the litter for the first time yesterday and decided on this one. Still no decision on a name as yet. We'll be picking him up on 27-Dec.
