Looks like he likes his early morning walks (and you just showing off that you can do a nice early morning walk along the beach, been a long time since I have had that pleasure ), although looks like there was something far more interesting to his right than just lying down. As for demon eye's my old pups I can't ever take photo's of them without them although they are usually green instead of red, although my old dalmatian used to always have one red one green.

You are never more than 2.5 miles from the sea here - one of the joys of living on a 9 x 5 island. He's probably staring at the sea. He's completely fascinated by it but is yet to understand quite how it "works". He stands watching the tide rapidly coming towards him then gets rather confused when it washes over him, not knowing whether to run back up the beach or further into the sea! This can be repeated many times on a walk. Walking a puppy on the beach here is perfect due to the limited escape opportunities - one side the sea, opposite side the rather well built sea walls left behind by the Germans!

I used to take my dog to this beach cause he liked running upto people and very few people would go down to this beach as it meant climbing down a rock face, and the dog could never figure out how to get up the cliff face on his own.

Sounds / looks ideal! The really cut off beaches over here tend to be on the more cliff-based coastline of the north and north west of the island which is about 5 miles away - which, when you live somewhere small, would be considered too much of a trek! Ridiculous really.
