My pc is very old now and I have a little extra cash this month to play with so was thinking of upgrading. My gaming needs are pretty basic , atm I am playing GW2 and FM12. I don't need to have the best fps in shooter games , I'm too old and slow to play em. Anyway after having a look around at reviews/prices for hardware I am at a complete loss as to what the best route is.
my current system is
cpu: e8400 @ 3ghz
mobo: Gigabyte GA-EP43-DS3
gpu: ATI hd 4850
memory : 4gb OCZ (have no idea of specs)
psu: coolermaster 600w
I really don't want to spend much over 400quid , so if I was to replace the whole thing I would be looking at an amd chip im thinking , but would say a phenom II be much of an improvement over what I have? or is it just better to say get a more up to date grfx card and more memory?
any info/advice is much appreciated.
ps my monitor is a 24" led.
