So I need some advice on a new motherboard but before that let me tell you the reason behind me having to buy a new mobo.
I built my first pc a year ago and loved it, i had no problems at all i took my time and researched what i needed and so on.
So 6 months ago i decided i need a better CPU to play games like Arma 2 so i i decided i would build a new system.
AMD FX-8350 Black Edition Vishera 8 Core AM3+ 4.0GHz 16MB 125W (not overclocked)
Corsair H80i Hydro Series Extreme Performance CPU Cooling
Seagate 1TB Barracuda SATA 6Gb/s 64MB 7200RPM Hard Drive
Asus M5A97 R2.0 AM3+ AMD 970 DDR3 ATX
Corsair Memory 600W Builder Series CX V2 ATX PSU
OCZ Technology 120GB Solid 3 SATA 6Gb/s 2.5" Solid State Drive (Main OS drive)
Corsair 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 1600Mhz CL9 Vengeance Black Performance Desktop Memory Kit
Zalman Z9 Plus Tower Case with Fan Controller
Windows 7 64bit - Fully windows updated and all drivers installed.
The first day i first built the system i kept on getting BSOD so i updated the BIOS and it kept on happening so i decided to turn down the clocks on my video card witch was at the time (Best Value VTX3D AMD Radeon 7850 HD 2GB PCI-Express 3.0 HDMI X-Edition ) and it seemed to work, the system was stable for 3-4 weeks.
From then i would still get the random "AMD display drivers have crashed" message and sometimes it would currect itself and other times it would just restart my pc. So i decided to buy a new video card of the same type but the XFX version because ive never had any problems with them.
A month ago my computer started restarting itself without any warning to the point where i couldn't get into the OS.
Then my hard drives decided to start playing silly buggers and windows would stop seeing them in my computer so i wiped everything and reinstalled windows and now it seemed to have slowed the problem with the hard drives down a bit but they do still disappear it just takes longer for them to go until i restart my pc and they are back.
I have taken out the drives and tested them in another computer and i have no problems with them at all, i have also taken out the video card and tested both of them in other computers and both work fine including the ram and PSU. I have looked all over the internet regarding the drives and tried everything so the only thing i can think of is that something is wrong with the mobo, maybe i was unlucky enough to get a faulty one or it simply can't handle my components.
So yeah its been a real nightmare over the last 6 months and ive wanted to just give up so many times.
So my question is can you guys here help me pick out a new mobo that will work out of the box with my 8350 that is around the £70 mark.
Thanks for your help guys i hope i can get a stable system and enjoy my games again
