I have a Fuji FinePix S7000 camera which is now about six years old. Until recently I have been using the standard picture modes where the camera performs JPEG compression on-board. However, I've now started shooting in RAW mode, and using my PC to convert and compress my images, and I must say I seem to be getting much better, crisper results.
However, the downside is that the RAW images take up much more space, and so I'm thinking about getting more on-board storage space in the camera. Until now, I've been using a pair of 512MB compact flash cards, but these don't seem to be available any more, and I've been told that I can't use more up-to-date 4GB cards as the addressing method is different for these cards (FAT-32 versus the older FAT-16).
So what I need to know is, can I use 1GB or 2GB compact flash cards with my camera? Or is it possible to use 4GB cards? And does Dabs sell any cards that would be compatible with the Fuji FinePix S7000?
Thanks for any help.
