i also just built my pc from scratch. everything worked fine (like a charm actually), ordered everything from dabs heres d specs:
amd phenom II x2 555 3.2ghz (OC to 3.6ghz with stock cooler); 1x4gb kingston hyperx 1600mhz ram, ezcool mid tower casing (with 500w psu), Asrock 890GX extreme 3 with integrated graphics, 500gb seagate 6gb/s 32mb HDD; lite-on DVDRW optical drive; wireless mouse and keyboard, eirmax usb wireless lan. only thing i didnt get here was the OS (Win7ulimatex64). i ve already ordered HD 6850 with a couple of 120mm chasis fans but i must say that as it is my pc is really fast even with my ram running on single channel im quite happy. only thing is the casing isqiute crappy in terms of build and in particular the PSU doesnt even have a single 6pin PCIe connectorso if my HD 6850 comes in il have to get a cble to connect it to the molex connectors. my advise is with that kind of graphics card u dont need 12gigs of ram unless u planning to upgrade later, it would justadd to ur light bills and shorten the life span. why dont u take about 4 gigs and keep it for the future, the moment ur pc is loaded and feels like its lagging then u can up the RAM.
With this thread being 4 months old, i suspect he has probably built it by now, and as his last activity was 4 months ago, i don't think he is coming back
