What is Blu-ray Disc™?
Blu-ray Disc™ is the new generation of high-capacity optical disc. Each disc can hold up to five times more information than a DVD so you can store High Definition digital video, sound, pictures, games, PC files - in fact, just about anything you want. It's the future format for home entertainment.

The Ultimate picture quality

Recording and playing back digital data at an extraordinary 40 Mbps (megabits per second), Blu-ray Disc™ can effortlessly display Full HD images at 1920x1080 line resolution with progressive scanning: and that means better picture quality than any HDTV transmission.
