Introducing The New Linksys Wireless-N RangeLinksys

WRT160NWhen choosing your router do you find yourself having to compromise style for performance or vica versa? Linksys aim to eliminate the problem with its new range of Wireless-N Routers. The WAG160N and the WRT160N combine the latest Wireless-N technology with great looks and style ensuring you never need to have that headache again.

Both new models, shown below, also feature the very latest in Support Technology with the release of LELA: Your Personal Expert! LELA stands for Linksys EasyLink Advisor. It's a free software application that can simplify the setup and management of your wireless network. LELA gives you a dashboard that allows you to monitor and manage any device on your network. LELA is essentially a Linksys expert at your side; someone who can check your network for problems and correctly configure all of your computers and devices.

LELAIf you already have a wireless router, LELA can help fine-tune your network, simplifying the addition of devices and providing an overview of everything that's installed. It also provides troubleshooting and support. If you are setting up a new wireless network, LELA will take away the hassle and worry. Linksys EasyLink Advisor will help you set up your router with a series of simple questions. No passwords or confusing network terminology are required. It just works!

Don't compromise - choose your Linksys Wireless-N Router today.

An all-in-one solution for Internet connectivity

£76.66

The Linksys WAG160N Wireless-N ADSL2+ Gateway is the all-in-one solution for Internet connectivity. The ADSL2+ Modem function gives you a blazing fast connection to the Internet, far faster than a dial-up, and without tying up your phone line. The Router function lets you share your high-speed Internet connection with all the PCs in the house. Share files, printers, hard drive space, and other resources by connecting your computers to the Gateway via the built-in 4-port 10/100 Ethernet Switch. Attach four wired PCs directly, or connect more hubs and switches to create as big a network as you need.

Or, use the built-in Access Point to connect wireless devices to your network without running cables through the building. The Access Point built into the Gateway uses the very latest wireless networking technology, Wireless-N (draft 802.11n). By overlaying the signals of multiple radios, Wireless-N's "Multiple In, Multiple Out" (MIMO) technology multiplies the effective data rate. Unlike ordinary wireless networking technologies that are confused by signal reflections, MIMO actually uses these reflections to increase the range and reduce "dead spots" in the wireless coverage area maintaining the wireless connection much farther than standard Wireless-G.

With Wireless-N, the farther away you are, the more speed advantage you get. It works great with standard Wireless-G and -B equipment, but when both ends of the wireless link are Wireless-N, the Gateway can increase the throughput even more by using twice as much radio band, yielding speeds far faster than standard Wireless-G. But unlike other speed-enhanced technologies, Wireless-N can dynamically enable this double-speed mode for Wireless-N devices, while still connecting to other wireless devices at their respective fastest speeds. In congested areas, the "good neighbor" mode ensures that the Router checks for other wireless devices in the area before gobbling up the radio band.

For Users With a Cable (Virgin Media) Connection

Linksys WRT160N

The Linksys WRT160N Ultra RangePlus Wireless-N Broadband Router is really three devices in one box. First, there's the Wireless Access Point, which lets you connect to the network without wires. There's also a built-in 4-port full-duplex 10/100 Switch to connect your wired-Ethernet devices together. Finally, the Router function ties it all together and lets your whole network share a high-speed cable or DSL Internet connection.

The robust signal travels farther, maintaining wireless connections much farther than standard Wireless-G.
