"n-Max solutions from Edimax offer superior network performance by increasing the range and speed of wireless networks"
Edimax Technology has released its long awaited n-Max solutions range to Dabs.com. The new networking product line is based on the IEEE 802.11n draft 2.0 standard and consists of a wireless broadband router (BR-6504n), card bus (EW-7708Pn), PCI card (EW-7728In) and a USB adapter (EW-7718Un).
Based on the draft 11n standard, the n-Max solutions offer data transmission rates up to 300Mbps and a significantly increased wireless coverage. The high bandwidth and speed of 11n ensure a stable connection that allows users to run multiple applications off a single router, without any interruptions or connection drops. In addition, so called "dead spots" in the wireless range are being reduced.
The n-Max broadband router features Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS), which allows users to set up wireless security simply by pushing the pairing button on the router. In addition, it supports virtual server and virtual DMZ functions for increased security and a NAT/NAPT function that allows users to share a broadband connection with up to 253 network users.
To enhance the user experience even further, the n-Max solutions from Edimax come with detachable high-gain antennas. In combination with the Edimax antenna relocation stand (EA-MARS), users can relocate the antennas according to their specific environment and enhance the wireless coverage even further.
The new Edimax n-MAX products are based on Ralink MIMObility™ technology that was recently selected as an official test bed (benchmark) by the Wi-Fi Alliance, ensuring Ralink to be among the first chipsets to become Wi-Fi 802.11n certified.
