1. University student: Buy and activate

Purchase a qualifying Office Home and Student 2010 product from an authorized reseller between August 8, 2011- October 25, 2011.

Install and activate your Home and Student 2010 product on the PC that you want to use to fulfill the upgrade.

You must meet all eligibility requirements in order to qualify for the upgrade.

2. Validate your student status online

You will be asked to validate your student status using one of the Microsoft approved verification methods. You will need your activated Office 2010 Product Key and your purchase date.

3. Get Microsoft Outlook, Publisher, and Access -- free!
