The DigiMemo A402 provides a digital record of any notes or drawings that are made on A4 paper. Accepting normal A4 pads and being not much larger than the pad itself it can be used anywhere a normal pad would. Used by surveyors, doctors, teachers... anyone making notes anywhere. It is the perfect digital assistant.

Excellent for presntation purposes

I have used my Acecad for the last 2 years during training sessions, projecting my written notes onto the training room screen. Great for interactive sessions, notes can be saved, printed and e-mailed. I have replaced the pen battery twice, the pen refills are standard Parker.
For what I use it for it is superb, I must have saved it's cost several times over in flip chart paper which I no longer use.
I haven't used the handwriting recognition software.

First impressions good - amazing that it records handwriting and sketches perfectly through thick pad of paper.
However, misleading advertising. Needs extra-cost software to convert handwriting to text. The 30-day trial is impressively accurate (though my writing is unusually clear); but trying to put converted files into OneNote 2007 gave a consistent error message and no transfer. Links to Word OK. Except for .pdf, it uses proprietary file formats , not good for versatility or wide-ranging use.
Finally, the unit has now failed (day 2) and refuses to work or switch off. First item I've ever had do that in 30 years with computers.
