I’ve had my eyes on a new 24 inch Samsung for a while as I love the quality but they are pretty pricey. When I saw this Acer on Dabs I did think well you get what you pay for. But I decided to buy and try. And I’m not disappointed. Smart, large, no dead pixels, fast, bright, plenty of colour, 3 year warranty, in fact it’s pretty excellent. You get VGA and DVI cables (2metres). I also bought a DVI to HDMI cable separately as my Compaq laptop has an HDMI output, so now I’m running 1920 x 1080 native monitor resolution, it just looks so stunning compared to the laptop’s diddy 15.6 inch 1366 x 768. The viewable area is a few millimetres over one page of A4 high, and about two and a half pages wide, with a viewable diagonal of 24 inches (not less like some monitors). I really can’t fault this monitor. If you, like I was, are looking for a 24 inch and considering the more expensive makes, in my opinion it really is worth your considering this Acer.

I bought 2 of these for an ATI Radeon Eyefinity setup

I bought 2 of these to use in widescreen gaming with a Radeon 5770/Eyefinity. The key requirements for me were - thin bezel and rectangular in shape with no bumps on any edge, so the screens could be used in a multi-monitor setup (bezel is 1cm wide), 2 inputs (DVI&VGA), low cost, fast response (2ms).....well, having bought 2, they fit all my needs, so I have to say that I would recommend these to anyone. Those looking for cost effective Eyefinity setup to go with their shiny new Radeon 5970/5870/5770s should consider these. With 4 screens you could have a 3840*2160 setup. 4 screen supports are available for about 80 quid, so total cost about 700 quid....which although a significant investment, is great value for money.
