I am very pleased with this purchase. I have read reviews that say it is slow - it probable is compared to dual core processors - but for such long battery life you cant have everything. Its fast enough for web browsing, word processing, and keeping in touch with work remotely. 3G works great. I'd recommend removing Mcafee as its very resource hungry, and install avg or similar. Overall performance is good

Excellent value for your money.....
quick response, got bluetooth, wifi, lan plus 3G too so what else you want in 11 inch netbook.....no freezing with skype or ie........recommended

Lovely little box, great screen makes a real difference, good battery life (~5 hour use). solid build and keyboard. Only downside is CPU about 25% slower then old acer one , its same as my desktop from 7-8 years ago. Once stripped down to basic xp + firebox browser works great. No problem with main use as a mobile brower, skype and email machine.
Have replaced the 3g sim with one from existing vodafone one. No problems connected first time.
Whats works well
* normal video windows iplayer
* 720p mp4 video off hard disk
* 3G with any sim card
* firefox , chrome etc
Whats the limits:-
* 1080i video too much for cpu
* Large flash video windows
Tried booting vwith ubuntu 9.10, would need hacking to get 100% working, screen res wrong, wifi need to to use windows driover. Oddly 3g worked first out the box

Mobile broadband offers ultimate freedom and flexibility

I cannot recommend this netbook enough – great price, the design is first-class, it’s the ultimate in portability, and most of all, the pay as you go broadband is absolutely fantastic. The mobile broadband means I’m not tied to a long and expensive dongle contract, and don’t need to get a landline at home for broadband. So far, I’ve been happily browsing the internet in my university lectures and on the train, which I have never been able to do before – amazing! I have hardly made any impression on the 1GB of broadband that came free, despite browsing all my usual websites. Fantastic!

First of all, Dabs service has been excellent. Unfortunately, I'm on my 2nd 751, the first being returned as it kept freezing especially when scrolling. Dabs returns service was excellent and I now have my 2nd 751. It is better, but freezes when using the webcam. It's destined to go back too. Searches on the web show many instances of freezes with this machine, but with no simple cause or solution. The fact that it's now £40 cheaper than when I bought mine before Christmas doesn't help me recommend it but helps it's value for money. It does have a great screen, mousepad and keyboard. Battery life is also good. Some of the standard applications (I.E & AV software) tend to slow it down, so I'd recommend removing these and use alternatives. So, 5 stars for Dabs service, and 4 stars for the 751, (if you get one that works OK), but for me, only 1 star for the acer because having had 2 that don't work correctly, I have no confidence in the product.
