I used the screws that came with my new case to fit this, so i guess i was lucky i didn't have to use the crappy self tappers that come with this fan. In it's defense though, the actual fan seems of very high quality and also looks nice.

great fan, cheap screws

great fan, just use different screws than the ones provided. Having this as an exhaust and it's 8cm cousin as an intake reduced my case temp by 10c.

Good fan, poor screws

This is a decent enough quiet fan. Okay there's no indication of airflow direction, but it takes just a moment with it plugged in to the power to confirm the direction. The reason for the ease of use score being so low is becuase of the crap self-tapping screws they supply. The screw head lost it's cross with a few tries of a screwdriver (usually about halfway in!), which meant I had to use a screw extractor to get the damn things out again. It may be usual for fans to come without the threads ready made, but if so they should supply strong enough screws to make the threads.

Bit of a pain to install, but does the job.

The hole for the screws to go in aren't threaded, so you really have to force the screws to go in all the way. Also a bit of a pain that there was no indication as to which way the fan spins without plugging it in first.
I installed it on the empty fan slot on my cheap-and-cheerful case, and it keeps my components 4 or 5 degrees cooler than without it, which was all I needed. So for 6 quid, I'm fairly happy with it.

Over priced fan that comes with 4 screws that won't fix into it and no indication to the direction of air flow. Sorry that I bought it and will return it to DABS. It also comes with an extra 2-to-4 caple connector that has a female 4 pin socket that is useless because it won't connect to psu and needs an extra female/male 4 pin converter. I lost about one hour of my precious time trying to fix this thing into the PC box ... in vain. I gave the "ease of use" a rating of 1 because there is no zero. Sorry that I bought it!
