Very good Hard Drive fan

This is a well made and well finished HD fan, and is easy to fit to the HD with the screws supplied. Bear in mind that its depth of 1.7cm does mean that the thickness of the HD is nearly doubled when the fan is attached, so it will not then fit into a standard single 3.5inch bay. Fitting in a 5.25 inch 1/2H bay is less of a problem. Overall an excellent HD fan.

No issues with how the cooler attaches to the hard drive and the components are fairly self explanitary.
Caution should be in that it will raise the depth of the hard drive by about 2mm, and if your hard drive was resting on 'internal runners / guides' then you may have to either bend these down or drill amended screw holes in the side fittings.
That says i've seen an improvement and it works for me but bear in mind the additional 2mm depth.

nifty little thing this is, i bought one before was great so had to get another, alwasy had probs with my h/d temps before they would make wierd noises but with 1 of these on each there perfect cant go wrong for just over a fiver

At first I was worried the airflow wouldn't be enough to cool the disk but it works really well. Easy to fit too.

Fitted this in my tower case where I could sling the drive in a double bay area. I can’t believe how something so cheap works so well. Only build quality issue is the rubbish power connector which took me a couple of goes to get seated on the power plug. Only other issue is that now this is fitted I do hear the sound of the drive running a lot louder than before. It does when it says on the tin…

Bought this to go on a WD VelociRaptor. Very easy to install, although I wasn't expecting it to attach to the bottom of the drive - surely taking heat off the top would be better? Seems to be doing a good job but is quite loud. It does add maybe 1mm to the underside of the drive where it slides into the bay, so this could put the screws out of place.

Provided airflow above the hard drive is sufficient, this device will work well.... I have one fitted in my system and it reduced the hard drive operating temperature from 42 degrees C to 35 degrees C... a job well done in my book.
