Its easy to fit, excellent value for money.
It does lower fan noise to a certain extent, but that is only on the mid and lower frequencies. The higher frequencies are still there. I would say it does help atleat 50%, but does not deaden sound completely.
Since harddrive noise is in the mid, and low frequencies, one great thing is I hardly hear my harddrive work. Overall, excellent buy when considering the price.

Not heavy enough to stop low frequency drumming

I ended up by adding thick ridges of hot-melt glue to stiffen up the case sides to stop the low frequency drumming, the foam did a very adequate job of mopping up the medium to high frequencies. I now use this foam on the stiff internals and a heavy weight ( 2820WS) on large side panels.
Although the PC is not silent it is noticeably quieter.
