Antec Kuhler H20 620 Water Cooler
Discontinued

Description

The Antec KÜHLER H2O 620 delivers high-performance liquid cooling for your CPU in a quick, easy-to-install package. Unlike traditional liquid cooling systems, this self-contained unit comes prefilled and requires no maintenance. The voltage-controlled 120mm fan and 3rd generation copper coldplate ensure efficient cooling, while the estimated 50,000 hour pump lifetime means this cooler is even likely to outlast the system it cools. Lastly, easy-bend flexible tubing allows the KÜHLER H2O 620 to be installed in nearly any orientation. Take your PC's Quiet Computing to the next level with liquid cooling performance at a price that rivals aftermarket air coolers.

Please note that the Kuhler range are now longer compatible with S775

Very Good Cooler

Quite easy to install (once you have watched the youtube video) if your case suits the design. My case was fine regarding the position, but was not wide enough at the back to take the radiator width.

Because my case was stepped, and because the door latch was adjacent to the radiator, I ended up having to make some new parts to allow the radiator to stand off the back of the case.

So make sure the chassis fan cutout is big enough to take the radiator. You will need 130mm x 130mm. (I had 2 x 80mm vertically stacked)

The unit is sealed and just requires mounting, the pipes are very flexible and easy to position in any orientation.

Otherwise a brilliant cooler, my i7 3770K 3.5ghz runs at about 25°c.

Fiddly to fit, but a great performer once in!

Recently purchased this to go with my new build Antec 300 Two case and i7-3770 processor. Packaging is good, and my initial impression on removing it from the box was very positive. The cooler radiator is just like a tiny car-engine radiator!!! It feels solid and weighty and is engineered very well. To this, bolts a standard Antec 120mm fan. The pump unit is nice and small, and fit over the CPU well, but it does take a bit of ingenuity to install as the instructions are almost useless! In fact, if you followed the instructions, the radiator would never be installed, as it makes NO mention of installing it into the chassis!! I used YouTube videos to help with the installation which proved very useful!

The cooler's performance is stunning maintaining a normal working CPU temp of 24C. I haven't pushed it yet to see what it goes up to under load though. The fan is quiet, and the pump seems to be silent. A great buy, and recommended from me!

Works but...

This cooler doesn't work with the 775 socket with the parts in the box. You need to contact Antec, who send you a grainy picture, and then it becomes your responsibility to ask for the relevant parts to make it compatible with the 775.

Anyway, yes the cooler works very well once you've managed to get hold of all the parts required. CPU temperatures are now within 10C of room temperature, but you can hear the pump clicking away when it's working hard.

The pump plugs into the header on the mother board, and the fan plugs into a wire off the pump (or can be connected to a spare system fan header on the motherboard, if you have one). I'd have liked it if the fan could be always one, as it takes the rear fan slot of my case.
