Had one of these for over a year and it just works. Using it with apcupsd freeware software under Linux. It also doesn't suffer from the sequencing problems many others do, so it can be used unattended for a server as it will properly shutdown and automatically restart even if power is restored in the middle of the shutdown cycle, unlike a Belkin model I had.
Well worth the extra cash.
