You can put the Apple Click Wheel to use the next time you want to set your music to shuffle. Right there on the main menu - where it's very easy to find - you'll find a new option - Shuffle Songs. You'll never guess what's coming up next, so you're always surprised by startling juxtapositions - like a melodic Coldplay song hot on the heels of a Caballe aria.

And you can shuffle your way through a lot of songs now that iPod lets you play your music for up to 12 hours on a single battery charge. Firewire?

Currently, my ipod is on order. However, some people have said that on some sites, a 'firewire' does not come with it, and it has to be bought seperately. Is this the case? Do i need to buy the firewire seperately? I would rather know so that i can order it and it arrive with the ipod, rather than be dissappointed when it comes. All you other people that bought a 20gb 4g ipod from dabs, did the firewire come in the box with it, or did you need to buy it seperately?

Saw people with them, played around with them... knew immediatly I had to have one. Arrived the other day, at first kept on opening it and putting it back due to AMAZING packaging! Instantly put tracks up and havent stopped listening to it for 2 days now (no joke). i seriously promote you getting one of these bad boys!

Tops tips: Buy an iSkin with it... scratches like nothing else
Download iTunes and put all your music on it before it arrives, you just wanna start listening!

If you are shallow, over-burdended with money but not sense then this is the mp3 player for you. It looks great but sounds no better than equivalent Creative devices which give MUCH better battery life. Also cost and frequency of battery replacements have to be seen to be believed. The Apple Mac was a better product than the IBM PC but failed because of poor marketing - they have reversed this with the iPOD. Over-priced for suckers.

Ipod just say no!

It insists on using the MP3 tag rather than filename which means unless your mp3 collection is tagged properly you WILL NOT BE ABLE to find your songs. Battery life compared to my old mp3 player (A creative one) is appalling. It insists on using iTunes to transfer any new music which is slow and clunkly and means if you ever want use a PC/Mac you don't normally use you have to install iTunes!!!! RAGE!!! Plus you have to use a Firewire unless you buy the special OVERPRICED USB lead. The sound quality is poor and the whole thing is so SLOW.

Worth spending an extra £60 every year?

If the ipods price tag of £184.99 wasn't enough. Users have to spend an additional £60 every year or year and a half (depending on how much you use it) replacing the battery as it dies out eventually. However, if you have money to burn, go for it, but don't find out the hard way like I did.
