Best cooler for AMD Athlon II 425 so far

I've recently built an AMD Athlon II 425-based computer. After having already built the computer and using it, the stock fan was a great disappointment. It performed, in my opinion, horribly. At idle the temperature was around 46 degrees Celsius with the fan being noisy. At full load it approached 69 degrees Celsius, which was disturbing enough for me to not set the game in 1080HD display. So I decide to try the ARCTIC A30.
This ARCTIC was an easy installation, no need to remove any components. With the installation complete, I proceeded to the testing of the setup. Because the fan uses a PWM connector, you will have to rely on the BIOS settings to automatically or manually control its RPM.
I was immediately pleased with the idle temp staying at 36 degrees Celsius. I monitored it while it was idle for about an hour observing no change. That is an huge improvement than the stock fan. The fan during this idle period tended to stay quiet. Under full load I was again pleasantly surprised

The performance is really great

Installed on a AMD Phenom II X2 555, with all 4 cores unleashed. Other reviewers have mentioned a little tricky to install. But in fact certainly not a difficult install. The cooler came with installation instructions and directs you to the website for other instructions. It is much larger than stock coolers, so you may want to check that you have space for it to fit. No problem in my full size case, but might be tricky in a space saver case. CPU is now running about 3 or 4c cooler on idle (31c), but I have slow running case fans to keep the noise down. With all 4 cores running at 100% (and the case fans turned up), it reached a peak of about 45c, which is a lot cooler than with the stock cooler when running the same tasks it would head to the high 50s.

That's great. Compatible with LGA1155

I bought this after I realized from reviews of my new i7 processor that I would need a non-stock cooling solution. I have used water cooling on past systems, and ultimately found that these systems just added expense and size to already expensive and large systems. I was encouraged by the price and reviews on this, and was not disappointed. Mounting system is excellent for LGA1155 (my system), and looks equally nice for other compatible boards. I did not run my system without this cooler so I have no comparison, but this keeps the system well under thermal limits even when overclocked. While the stands don't line up with my CPU cutout in my tray, they do fit nicely between the tray and the MOBO. But you will probably need to pull the board, so if you're building a new system make sure you install the mounting hardware for this cooling system before installing your board in the case.

Here are some points i want to share
Installation was relatively fast and simple for me. I am comfortable installing computer hardware.2. Very quiet cooler in my opinion. 3. After installing this cooler, normal temperatures went down from 55º C. to an average of 43º C. This is a huge difference!!4. Here comes the impressive part. Under processor stress, this cooler won't let the temperatures rise above 69º C. No matter what programs I run and how long I run them for. I have been monitoring processor temperatures for the past month with this cooler. I have run several HD video processing jobs. All of them took over 5 hours to complete with processor load at 100%. CPU temperatures have remained steady below 70º C. Very impressive.

I put this on a FX8150 in a ASUS M5A97PRO motherboard and it runs hotter than stock cooler!!!
Hits 78-80 and warning temp comes on in BF3.
Its also very large and will not fit into cases with a side fan! you have to take them out.
the freezer pro 13 is much better for AM3+ boards.
