Awesome and easy upgrade!

Incredible performance boost for me. I had previously upgraded my video card and got some improvement but my core (MB/CPU/RAM) was still holding me back, this is a great product at a great price. I have built plenty of PCs before but even if you haven't it's pretty simple. Dabs also have a great how-to video so you can't go far wrong. Just remember the little switch on the motherboard to unlock the extra cores. Stunning performance hike, just what the doctor ordered.

Won't boot out of the box

Built this setup no problem, just would not boot as the motherboard would not see the processor correctly. Had to take it all to a computer fair and pay £25 for the guy to use a slower processor and flash the BIOS with the latest update from a usb stick.
Took me ages to work out that was the problem as the Bios would freeze, and trying to load up windows was a nightmare. Once the Bios had been flashed everything was OK. Nice setup once it was up and running.

Recently decided to upgrade my old 7600GT / Dual core setup to something more gamer friendly. This deal seemed the right money so ordered from Dabs and delivered within a day or so, took about an hour or so to install in my old case (still using the 7600GT at this point), fired up, installed windows 7 64 bit and away she went. Good speed increase on my previous setup but GFX card bottle necking the system, quick trip to a competitor in Stoke (wanted the card on a Saturday so had no choice, no patience here) installed a shiny new GTX 460 1 Gig Hawk edition MSI card and boom! superb speed and detail increase! Have tried Crysis on max settings, getting a stable and playable 30fps, TF2 runs super smooth. 2 things, heat and PSU, make sure you have good airflow and a decent 550w + psu with independent 12v rails. 20+ amps per rail should do. Out of characters now, tra a bit.

sorry for multiple reviews but sorted the ram problem you need to change the speed to 1600 in the bios then is says click ok to keep current voltage setting or cancell to automatically adjust , if you click ok so that voltage stays the same it runs fine and passes memtest !

Update on ram settings do not use the ram setting stated in my review since running memtest shows an error and system still crashes, seems to run fine when the mobo auto selects 1066mhz still trying to get 1600mhz to run without crashes!

A great price for this bundle , one thing to note the ram runs at 1033mhz when installed , you need to change to 1600 in bios and also change the DRAM voltage from auto to 1.8v or the system will crash under heavy load, once you do that it runs fine , think the motherboard has problems recognising this ram.

I bought this and am using it with the the AMD 5770 and the Corsair H60(24c-26c Idle) and this gives excellent performance.
I can run it on max on FEAR 3, Duke Nukem Forever and Crysis 1+2 without overclocking. Great value for money. OS is Win 7 64bit.

Bought it along with a GTX 560ti and all i can say is, this is an amazing bundle for the money, it was a steal at 300 quid and now its only 280! I recommend buying a half decent cpu cooler for it however, the stock AMD fans are just a little... well awful! very easy to install, comes with a shedload of extras for upgrading and a great price tag courtesy of dabs.com! Buy this, you wont regret it anytime soon!

This product is a great deal and will greatly improve opon any old system. It took me an hour to install it dut to taking extreme care on fitting the heatsink. Windows XP runs on the setup with no problem apart from XP only uses 3GB of RAM. Take note here is a little switch on the motherboard to unlock all 6 cores on the processor. To sum up great value, vary easy to install and totaly worth it.
