good value budget board

rock solid, setup perfectly first time board ideal for budget builds which need to be reliable. chipset is good value and performs fine under win7. bios comes with a rake of options including overclocking parameters. downsides are the lack of a dvi port and 1394 firewire and it only has two memory slots. i am kicking myself for ordering 2*1gb rather than 1*2gb as i'd rather have single channel and the option for another 2gb later.

Very good simple board, but no bracket supplied for the parallel port, and there seem to be none available from Dabs.

This board is great value and works very well. Just beware if the intended user still has a trusty old parallel-port printer: There is an internal printer port header on this motherboard, but Dabs don't seem to sell the necessary rear port bracket to go with it. For most modern office-type uses though, this is an excellent board. Very fast, even with the slowest AMD processor you can buy. (Sempron - nice and quiet!).
