Didn't work with laptop

This did not work with the three PCs and laptops I tried (purchased within the last two years with keyboards). I'm wondering if like the other PS2>USB adapters Dabs sell, if this will only work with keyboards originally shipped with a PS2>USB adapter? Really annoying. I had to wait for them to come in stock and ordered a load for my team, and now we need new keyboards!
