Description
The Belkin 54g Wireless Cable/DSL Gateway Router lets users share files and a broadband Internet connection among their computers-without using networking cables. It features 54g technology that makes accessing files and networked peripherals-such as hard drives, printers, CD-ROMs, and DVDs - easier than ever. 54g technology provides you with networking speeds nearly five times faster than the current Wi-Fi (802.11b) standard. An integrated, 4-port 10/100Base-T Ethernet switch also allows you to connect wired computers to the network. 54g technology is the easiest wireless network to implement.
The Gateway Router uses the wireless 54g 2.4 GHz standard to offer you the widest working range - up to 1800 feet-and greater interoperability in mixed networking environments. 54g technology is backward compatible with the 802.11b Wi-Fi networking standard, so it allows you to implement faster wireless technologies in combination with existing 802.11b Wi-Fi networks. An added Turbo Mode will isolate your network from 802.11b wireless clients and allow your network to transmit data at the highest 54g data rate.

This was the second I bought and I would recommend it to anyone.
However, in a recnt power failure at my house it has broken, well the transformer/power lead has. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement as it has an unusal socket?
Thanks

Good bit of kit for the money.

Just installed one of these.
Fairly easy to set up and all the features I expected. Strong siginal a few rooms away.
Didn't test it from downstairs.
If you are on NTL, and have switched from USB to the RJ45 Ethernet connection on the cable modem, you will need to reset the cable modem, ideally, before starting the installation.
This isn't in the setup wizard but being a bit savvy, I figured it out myself.
I didn't do it until the end of the installation, where the setup wizard wouldn't go past the last 'Check Internet' screen.

Have had this router for over 6 months, no problems. Use ntl 2mb, no problems getting good signal all over the house. Good price, but there are smaller Belkin ones out there, with same spec and price. Pretty good for LAN games too :)

Brilliant piece of Kit, using it in conjunction with BT broadband, thankfully their ADSL modem came with an ethernet adapter, on win XP plugged into, ran the software for both the wireless PCI card and then the router, perfect, constant 54mb connection and i'm upstairs and the router down and half way across the house.
Day after added another PC via wireless and again no probs, now currently sharing printer, playing games between the two pc's, swapping and backing up, would highly recommend.
