Super little machine ...can't be beaten on value for money. Up and running within minutes and does what it says on the box. Fast, well made and has done every thing I have thrown at it without fail...what more can you ask from a budget machine ? If you want a value net book, you won't go far wrong with one of these (very happy so far)

Good netbook, great value

Good product performs really well.
Extremely easy to set up - functional within minutes.
Other reviews have commented on the instructions or lack of them. Did not find this a problem, perfectly fit for purpose and easy to follow. Instructions seem to be minimal these days anyway. Just bought an expensive laptop which had even less by way of a manual!
Only minor gripe is that the "mouse equivalent button" is a bit stiff. Easily solved by purchasing a wireless mouse - I would recommend the logitech 305 which has a miniscule dongle befitting a netbook and is very competitively priced.

For basic PC operations, I cannot fault it. I installed OpenOffice, the free alternative to MS-Office, which works perfectly. It has yet to give me any indication that it is a "value" product, I am left wondering why I ever bothered to pay more for previous laptops.

Quality bit of kit

I have to say that although this is a budjet netbook, it performs as good as the more expensive makes.
It loads all programes at a rate of knots, even with the 1gb memory installed and wi-fi connection is a doddle.
Onlt downside rearely is the manual, tells you nothing.
Has sim card port on it but no mention of how to use it in the manual and no info on hoe to upgrade the memory even though it say it can be upgraded to 2gb.
Nothing on digimates web site about it either.
Well worth the money though.

Bought this a month ago to go travelling. Have discovered that the battery is faulty so that occasionally the computer will go into a semi-dormant state for no reason (it can be rescued by selecting the "sleep" function and then waking it up), and that one of the usb ports seems to be useful only for charging. There was not enough time to exchange the laptop before I left and dabs couldn't (wouldn't?) send me a replacement battery. However the partly broken nature of the machine adds personality, albeit an unsavoury one, while ensuring that I will not be too upset when it inevitably gets lost or stolen. Also, mystifyingly, can't select blocks of text using CTRL + SHIFT. Otherwise works as expected.

Value perhaps, best probably not

The packaging and the look and feel of this netbook are the equivalent to Lidl's own brand. No expense has been made. It would probably be okay for use around the house but it feels fragile for carting about the place and has more and larger vent holes than more branded equivalents. So I'm returning it without booting it up. It may be okay inside but it doesn't feel up to travelling - which is what you want a netbook to do. (I'm comparing it with a Toshiba of a similar spec I got for very little more a couple of months ago.If it was £100 - maybe. £200 - not.) Also it has no external speaker. Caveat emptor.
