Better than the ones with caps

These are brilliant for those of you who keep losing the caps for the pen drives. I used to take 20 seconds transferring the data and up to 10 minutes looking for the cap. Have loads of pendrives with lost caps.
It is also a lot better than those slidy ones which fail to lock after about 2 weeks' usage.
They are slim enough to have 2 side by side or on top of each other on my laptop.
Only annoyance is that I can't fit a keyring to it. It needs to be one of those string type connectors.

In the picture this looks like my 4Gb stick I got from Staples a few years ago. However, The swivel is not plastic, its anodised aluminium and the main body is black. Nice.
Capacity is actually 7.45Gb. I'm not sure why this should be with flash memory, there's no reason for is not to be 8 * 1024 * 1024 * 1024 Mb. The marketing people again I suppose.
It is already formatted FAT32.

PC would no longer standby/shutdown

This seemed to work fine at first sight, but after first use the PC would hang on shutting down or going into standby. Removing the USB was not enough to rectify the problem - I had to go into the device manager and delete the appropriate devices there. This was on XP. It will no doubt work fine in the majority of XP PCs, but I certainly won't be buying these again - I wasted 3hrs tracking down the fault!
