Had to buy a new Power supply as my CIT power supply brew up on me stumbled across this alpine 750w at the price I wanted to pay, power supply has been installed now and my computer is running perfectly....Well worth the money!

Seems to be unstable under load

Difficult to know where to begin. The PSU seems to be fine for the better part but following heavy load (running a game for a while). The power ripples seem to increase to the point where the system can become unstable and cause a reboot. My system under full load pulls no more than 450 watts and if I switch to a better 450w PSU the instability goes. Tried 2 different Alpines, both have the same issue. Could be an incompatibility with my system but it's doubtful.
Still, for a budget system under light load it's absolutely fine.

Unit was dead on arrival. I had to wait a week for collection and who knows how long for a replacement. I don't expect quality at this price but I do expect it to work!

Avoid this power supply at all costs.
System ran for less than a day before power supply literally blew up in a shower of sparks!
These psu's don't appear to have any power factor correction circuitry in them so even though the supplier rated these at 750w they are only capable of about half that in real terms.
Having done a bit research I have found that any psu rated 75w or more has to have pfc circuitry in order to comply with European regulations so not sure how they get round that?
