Description
The ES-3105P Fast Ethernet switch is perfect for improving the performance of small network. This switch satisfies the need for high-quality products at an affordable price - enabling even the most budge-conscious organizations to trade up to the next level of networking power. This switch supports 10/100Mbps auto-negotiation on all ports, for seamless migration to 100Mbps connections without time-consuming trips to the wiring closet whenever end stations are upgraded to Fast Ethernet. All ports also automatically sense half or full duplex connections for high-speed server or switch-to-switch configurations.
This switch can be placed near the core of the network to eliminate bottlenecks and improve the overall network throughput. It can extend the span of a network that has the maximum allowed hubs connected in series. When used as a desktop connectivity device, it provides the highest possible performance for connecting users to your network.
These Fast Ethernet switches' compact and slim design allows direct placing on the desktop or conveniently mounted on the wall or the side of a desk to accommodate cabling consideration.

This has got to be the easiest Switch I have ever installed.
The family was getting peeved off pulling the RJ45 network cable out of our HP Network Printer and selecting the Laptop Network Connection (Don't use Wireless as it's rubbish and hazardous) I'm amazed that some people on here are still connecting printers using USB? come on guys this is 2007 where RJ45 kills rubbish USB as RJ45 connects everything together and USB is for stand alone only.

Im a bit new to this kind of computing. I was looking for something to hook up my ibook to my pc, and share my printer and scanner between to 2 of them. A friend recomended this to me, so i thought id give it a go. This will sound really stupid, but do the printers plug into the switch or stay connected to my ibook? the connections on the switch are for a CAT6 cable but obviously the printer and scanner are only USB, can you get a CAT6-USB cable?

Plugged it in, it goes. I got an Allen-Bradley L35E PLC, Allen-Bradley 1734-AENT pointIO node with 4 RS232 modules, a Hakko Electronics V712iSD HMI, a link to the nearest local network switch, and I can talk to them all from my desktop. I can't speak for mixed 10-100MBit systems.

I used this hub in a network with 3 PCs and a gateway router all running at 10MHz plus a new HP all-in-one scanner printer which is 100MHz by default. There was some communication, but generally it didn't work. I then configured the printer to communicate at 10MHz, after which everything worked fine.
