very good value

I took a chance on this with a bigger order from dabs as I thought I couldnt lose much. I also bought the same brand pcmia card for another older laptop. Both actually work fine, I dont see why you would buy anything more expensive.

So good, I got 2

It does the job, is incredibly good value for money and comes with a CD and an extension cable in case you dont want the stick "sticking out". Replaced an aging wireless usb thingy that dropped connections all the time with this and had no problems since.

Easy Wireless Access
Reviewed by John. Review Posted 22/03/2007
Easy set-up, exceptional performance and with a range of at least 150 feet it enables me to use my notebook in the summerhouse and link to the main PC in the house for printing and internet access. For the cost of 3 computer magazines you just can't go wrong. It does have one bad point it will enable my grandaughter to plant herself in my Summerhouse while revising for her A levels.

Works perfect with GNU/Linux
Reviewed by Curtis. Review Posted 27/02/2007
Works great with GNU/Linux, as this wireless device is using the Ralink 27xx chipset. You can also run it as a access point. Only thing I would like to see is the alternative Edimax USB device to be sold at dabs... the one with the external antenna. Great price though, I have seen this device going for £20-£30 normally. Whilst it is only £12 here.

Edimax 802.11g USB Stick
Reviewed by David Turner. Review Posted 21/02/2007
WOW !!!!, what incredible value and performance. I bought this as a replacement for a faulty USB adaptor, which cost considerably more, and this outperforms it in every way. Easy to setup and runs a treat. Get one while stocks last.

Great Value
Reviewed by gez. Review Posted 08/02/2007
I bought a Belkin USB stick from local national PC retailer, what a mistake, absolute rubbish, kept dropping the connection, so i did what I should have done first and buy one from dabs. I was a bit dubious of the make of this stick but I chose it because of the customer reviews, I am glad that I did now because it is a great bit of kit, with great signal strength and great value at that price

What can I say that others haven't already? Took me the whole of 5 mins to get my laptop up and running on the home wireless network. I opted to use the windows default wireless networking options rather than the ones that come on the CD, purely because I'm more familiar with it. Big thumbs up from me
