Excellent delivery, price, equipment ... But I stupidly didn't realise that I am one of the one in four households in the UK that can't get Freeview channels through an aerial and who won't be able to until analogue is switched of in several years time. Oh well. Nice try. And well done to dabs for a simple process for returning the goods.

Great Kit
Reviewed by Regsy. Review Posted 23/11/2006
I have had no problems at all, installed and running in under 5 mins. While other people have commented on the falp on the remote the remote itself is well spaced and very clear, simplicity itself to use. The menus are simple and recording a doddle, I love the idea of being able to transfer recording to my PC, nice idea. Fab piece of kit, did what it said on the box. its far better than the digifusion it replaced (not even in the same league) if you need a freeview recorder use this one, nothing else comes close.

A must for any AV enthusiast

Had my box for 3 months now and I can say it is packed full of features and the picture and audio are really good. In fact, my mate was so impressed with it when he came round that he went out and bought one too! Due to the way that the twin-tuners work you can even watch a third TV channel while recording two programmes (although the channel list may be limited.) After a couple of days of having it I turned on the automatic over-the-air software update and the new software gave me the features I missed from my old Sky+ box (like pre-, post-record safety zones, etc.) I could spend ages singing the box's merits but it has a couple of niggly points too, which I should mention: (i) remote control isn't great, (ii) TV guide often takes a long time to load up. Other than that, in my opinion this has to be one of the best freeview boxes on the market right now!!

Excellent bit of kit

Great product. Software updates came over automatically over the Freeview network, which checking out on the Humax website resolves some of the locking problems that others have reported. I've had no locks. The recording etc etc is dead easy, spectacular quality. Signal strength is improved compared to my old Freeview box. I used to have problems with the digital Channel 5. Not anymore. Can't recommend this box enough.

Cracking PVR!
Reviewed by Philip Baillieu. Review Posted 04/08/2006
Took no more than 3-4 mins to connect the 9200T to my TV and the same again for it to find all the freeview TV & radio stations in my area. It's a doddle to use, the menu is intuitive, the picture is great and it looks smart. Strongly recommended if you don't need the ability to record DVDs to watch on other TVs. But even then, you can download programmes from the 9200T to a PC & burn the DVD there instead.

Can recordings be made by selecting date, time, and channel as well as recording by using the EPG. I would need to do this when going on holiday for more than one week.

Very Good

Had this box for a few weeks now, only issue i've had is a couple of times it's froozen at the end of a recording, any the only way to get the system back is to power it off and on, other than that it a great bit of kit, and does not get to warm unlike the other harddisk units. Remote is fault less, but you do need to RTM before using it.

Hands on at last!!

Had the PVR9200T for a week now, excellent next day service from Dabs. This unit is excellent, does what it says on the box and does it very well, the Guide/Record with the touch of one button is excellent. My only moan would be the tacky remote, why hide essentential buttons beneath a hard to open, thin plastic lid, if my wife breaks a finger nail on this, she'll throw it out the window and it will take me weeks to track down another one.

Finally got one!
Reviewed by Steve. Review Posted 27/10/2005
Got mine through from Dabs this morning in excellent condition. Set up took just a few minutes as I already had a PVR8000T in place so it was just a direct swap for all the cables. It automatically searches for all the channels and you can edit out the ones you don't want (the shopping ones!). Picture and sound quality is excellent as you would expect. The box looks good and feels well made, the front display is an improvement on the 8000T and displays the channel name and time now which is useful. It has however locked up twice in the last 5 hours, and the first time it happened it wiped all of the scheduled recordings which was a pain as I had already put 17 in there! The next small problem is that there is a limit of 20 scheduled recordings, so if you are going on holiday that may cause some problems.
