Amazing! - Why pay more?

Nothing here not to like! why would you want to pay any more? Sure you'd get a "branded" product but i doubt it would sound any better than this! Having experienced DGM TV's and Monitors in the past (bought from Dabs of course) i knew i was on to a winner when i saw the price of this item and i haven't been disappointed. I can honestly say I'm delighted with my purchases (i bought 2 of these) and i'm going to buy more as gifts. The only way this item could have been any better (in my opinion) is if the casing had been piano gloss black. However, a gloss white casing is no hardship when you consider the quality of this piece of kit for an amazing price! well done Dabs.

This is a very dinky little product and ideal for a child's bedroom. It was a toss-up between this and £100 worth of Pure iDock II (glad I went for this). At this price, I couldn't care less if it gets smashed (will just buy another one). Only two gripes: - at very low volume you get a lot of grumble (not sure what the technical term is) from the speakers - loses it's settings when power removed (I'm putting this down to the backup battery being flat) Positives: The player can be run off 6 AA batteries It will charge your ipod (it works with my daughter's 5th generation nano just fine) The sound quality is fine for general listening (better than you'd expect for the price). The volume will actually go quite high (way beyond what my daughter will want).

Will this work fully with 5G (latest) ipod nano?

I have a couple of docks that the latest (5G) nano will not work in. I'm looking for one that will both charge and play audio when docked in the cradle. Please can you confirm whether this unit can accommodate? Thanks in anticipation.

Excellent for the price - acceptable sound quality, PLUS what the specs don't say, it has a small remote control unit. For the price this is a winner - may end up buying a 2nd (the first was a pressie)

Took this home not expecting too much for the price, but boy was I wrong. Excellent sound quality, easy to use with normal radio and buzz alarm features. Its buttons don't feel terribly expensive but what can you expect for under £18! I am ordering another 2 for Christmas pressies!

A slight revision to original review. This 1st unit we got had a broken FM radio - no signal - Dabs excellent returns kicked in a new one dispatched almost by return delivery. The 2nd one working FM radio is pretty poor - we're in an oK reception area and it struggles even with the BBC stations. One other little niggle, the unit has a 2032 battery to keep the time when not plugged in - in both units the supplied one was flat on delivery - luckilly I had removed my new one before sending 1st one back. But still, for the money, a very good product.
