The reviewer is technically wrong, sata drives connect via the sata hard drive protocol and therefore don't need seperate drivers.

The bios is will boot from the dvd drive if setup to as first boot, the hdd is set as second boot option.

Motherboards come with drivers for sata installation.

Beware interface standard!

I bought one but it turns out that my Dell 8400 PC is incompatible. It's not worth sending back because the return cost is more than half the cost of the item. Saying that the interface is "... the dominant interface for PCs" is not very helpful - it would be more useful to say something like "THIS DEVICE PROBABLY WON'T WORK IN YOUR PC IF IT OVER 1 YEAR OLD!" I won't be using Dabs again.
