The unique chassis design may be placed vertically or horizontally. I thought i would have had problems as reading other reviews i have Window 7 64bit, just turned my computer on plugged all the cables in and presto it notice the drive first time and the software too, i have put some of my files on no problems up to yet , i still have to do my computer backup then see if that works okay, very easy to use , not to big or bulky, only time will tell, but Dabs.com excellent service, recieved within 3 days, up to yet well recomend this, and up to yet i did not have to unplug this and restart my computer , my other hard drives i had to do this, i think its worth looking at i can only give my review for my use
