Trouble Trouble Trouble...
Reviewed by Clive. Review Posted 05/03/2009
Can't really recommend this - Had lots of problems. MiniCD would not stay in my vertical CD drive so had to transfer software over LAN from another PC. Install not as described in the instructions - The booklet says "don't plug in the cam till after restart", but in practise the install procedure demands that you plug it in during install. Wouldn't work at all on my first PC ("You have no video hardware installed" error message). Manufacturer website unavailable to download updated driver. Installed on 2nd PC OK but video quality poor, over-compression artefacts. Previously solid PC now crashes with BSOD after half an hour (fixed on uninstall). Back to first PC, manufacturer website now back up so downloaded new driver, installed, camera now works but only at 600X800 and snap picture feature does not work (which it did previously on PC2). Suspect downloaded driver is actually for a different camera. Now will not start, generates error message on attempting to preview.
