Description
Extending Corsair's legendary reputation in performance and quality, the Corsair VX family of power supplies features the industry's most efficient power management and ultra-quiet design for mainstream users. Unlike most power supplies in the market, the Corsair VX incorporates a single +12V power rail that delivers continuous power under heavy loads. This conservative design ensures reliable operation in today's most demanding system configurations and adds compatibility for future platforms. The unique combination of rock solid performance and incredible value puts the Corsair VX family of power supplies in a class of its own. Ideal for home theater PCs and ENERGY STAR PCs, the VX line maximizes energy savings and minimum noise generation thanks to double-forward switching circuitry design.

Brilliant PSU
Reviewed by J Thorne. Review Posted 26/01/2010
What a superd PSU, built various systems over the years. This is one of the best PSU's i have had. You will thou need plenty of room for all those cables. If you have a full size(ATX) computer case then no probs. If you have a small case go modular, pay extra but would be worth it.
Its so quite i thought the fan wasnt working in it when i first fired it up. It is working fine, the fan speed adjusts depending on the watts required by the PC.
Being only a single rail supply as well, perfect for high-performance set-ups.
Spot on!

Easy to fit with cables plenty long enough to be threaded around the case. The instructions for a 20 pin connector and 12v 4 pin connector are bit vague but I got there in the end. Once installed its very quite and worth the money.

Excellent but you may want modular
Reviewed by Adrian. Review Posted 14/10/2008
This is my second corsair power supply and the whole package exudes quality. However, you may want to consider the modular version - where the cables have plugs and you only connect the ones you're using - for a tidier build. This model comes with them all built on. I was not aware of the distinction until this one arrived as my previous was modular. Not a deal breaker, but worth a look if you want things to be perfect.

This psu is alot better than the standard ones which comes with your pc.
I replaced my 300 watt psu with this this so i could install a 8800gt.
I've noticed there is alot less heat in my pc tower cos of its big quiet fan, which sucks the heat out.
Th quality build is excellent.
I managed to fit this in my hp media centre pc. 7755 series
pc specs- intel core 2 duo e6600, 3gb ram, 8800gt, 400gb hard drive.

Beefy, quiet, good value
Reviewed by Anton. Review Posted 29/12/2007
This is an excellent value power supply that can handle heavy loads. It's quiet too. Every cable for the modern PC is catered for. To add to Dabs description, the output ratings are: +3.3V, 30A; +5V, 28A; +12V, 41A; -12V, 0.8A; +5Vsb, 3A. The +12V rating is important for fast graphics cards and 41 Amps should handle most (but check before buying).

This power supply comes with all the plugs you can ever need nicely wrapped in black mesh, is very quiet and provides a stable platform for any PC. Spending money on a PSU seems like money not well spend as it does not give graphics, speed or HD sound and you don't even see it but unless you buy one you don't realy see the benefits of a quiet, stable power unit. Really it is money well spend and should be on your list of computer bits when building a PC, you won't regret it. Full marks for this one.
