A dual inline memory module (DIMM) consists of a number of memory components (usually black) that are attached to a printed circuit board (usually green). The gold pins on the bottom of the DIMM provide a connection between the module and a socket on a larger printed circuit board. The pins on the front and back of a DIMM are not connected to each other.
240-pin DIMMs are used to provide DDR2 SDRAM memory for desktop computers. DDR2 is a leading-edge generation of memory with an improved architecture that allows it to transmit data very fast.

good ram, simply chuck em in and all is good. I did have issues combining them with some crucial sticks (which would have added up to 3gb of ram) which caused my wireless network card not to work, but i guess that was my own fault for forgetting about that. Oh and I received some half height sticks which I'm sure would be good with big cpu heatsinks.

Using these with an Intel Core 2 Duo E7300. Motherboard : Asus P5QL-E (quick link=57TNI8).
Needs a bit of pressure to put in, but all was well - make sure you apply even pressure. Working fine, bargain price, will do me for a while yet.

Excellent service from dabs - ordered Monday 1730 delivered Wednesday lunchtime - protective packaging would have survived anything. Had to refer to the computer's user guide to work out where to place the old and new memory, and I found the force required to fit quite surprising, but there was a warning. All worked straight away.

great two 1gb sticks that has been rocking my PC for the past two weeks! running on dual channel and everything is the way its meant to be. got a Intel Core 2 Duo E8200 clocked at 2.13 with a Geforce 8800GT 512Mb with these Ram and i have yet to be disappointed! playing Crysis at 1440x900 with everything on HIGH at 50+ FPS. once i get Vista im sure il be able to play it on Very High! also dabs delivery was excellent. i put the delivery for 3-5 days but it came with in 2 days! couldnt be happier!

I can remember paying £300 for a 16Mb SIM which makes me an old fart. 2Gb for less than £30 is amazing. Fitted to my Asus P5KC with Intel E6750 Core2 processor.

I've used this RAM in 5 different motherboards with no trouble except in one old Dell computer that had to use it at 533MHz instead of 667. Check on crucial's website if you're unsure whether it's compatible. Gets a rating of 5.3 in Vista's WEI.

I bought 4GB of this stuff recently at a fantastic low price. It overclocks to 750mhz no problem allowing me to overclock my CPU to 3ghz. Recommended.
