Description
A memory upgrade is typically the easiest and least expensive way to boost your computer's performance. While any time is good to add more memory, there are some scenarios in which adding a memory upgrade makes great sense and can dramatically improve your computer's performance:
You've upgraded your operating system (OS).
You've installed memory-intensive software like photo-editing or a 3-D video game.
You work with large files or with three or more programmes at a time.
You've added hardware, such as a new processor or a video card.
You've purchased a new computer that came with too little system memory.
Backed by 25 years of Micron experience and the expertise of Micron's global team of engineers, Crucial is well-established as the memory industry expert. As a division of Micron, one of the world's leading providers of advanced semiconductor solutions, Crucial actually makes the memory they sell, right down to the chips. Other memory sellers might claim to be manufacturers, but the truth is they only assemble the modules from components they purchase from the real chip manufacturers. In fact, Crucial is the only consumer memory upgrade supplier that is part of a major DRAM manufacturer. Crucial has served nearly 3 million consumers just like you looking to get the best possible performance from their computers.
Crucial has a long history of building successful partnerships with all the major computer manufacturers. They even work directly with system and motherboard manufacturers to ensure optimal performance and compatibility.
The world's major computer manufacturers look to Micron as a trusted source for memory for original installation in their systems. They know that Micron's quality and expertise far exceed industry standards. Crucial brings this same level of quality and customer service to you.

Mobo Asus A8N-E using a pair of Reneon? 512s. Asus recommended Kingston chips amongst others but not Crucial. However, reading Kingston reviews in Dabs for like chips persuaded me to Crucial as they use their own chips and had a good press here. Ordered and received a pair of these from Dabs. Different chip layout being populated one side only rather than double sided of the existing chips. Fitted on receipt and immediately fully operational. Next time - Crucial first stop.

Easy, no hassle install. Went from 2x256 to 2x512 and instantly felt huge increase in speed. Only annoyance was although it was sent out by dabs very quickly I didn't think I'd need to be in for delivery as they are tiny little pieces of hardware, which easily could have been sent in an envelope with some bubble rap inside... instead it came (when i was at work)in a massive box which meant it went back to royal mail sorting office to be picked up a day later!!! Why the silly packaging I don't know, but I'm happy now I've got them lol

Came the next day once payment was sorted, Fitted easily but if you have a Compaq 310 the graphics card makes it a bit fiddly. Works a dream and my computer is so much quicker. No errors at all done in five minutes.

This memory is well crucial same as all their modules. Comes with lifetime warranty. I've still got sticks of theirs PC133 as good as when new. They are hard to beat and up with the best. Never had a duff module ever and always runs rock steady in yrs of using them.

It came delivered in anti-static packaging with relatively straightforward instructions. Once fitted was automatically detected by the motherboard, and at less than £30 is one of the cheapest 512mb sticks around. Very good job.

I got 2 of these a year ago and have had no problems. I know they are advertised as Cas 3, but I've got them set to Cas 2.5 and the my system is just as stable.

Crucial RAM may not be the cheapest but it still offers great value for money as you're getting a quality part. The RAM comes wrapped in anti-static bags, and with good installation instructions. I've never had a dud chip or one which failed years later from Crucial either.
